Privacy policy
Last updated: 27 August 2026.
The short version
You can read every lesson, use every calculator and take the questionnaire without giving us your name, your email or any other personal detail. We do not have accounts and we do not have a sign-up form.
What is collected automatically
- Standard server logs — IP address, browser type, the page you requested and when. These are used to keep the site running and to spot abuse.
- Analytics — we use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand which lessons are read and where people get stuck. Clarity also records anonymised interaction data such as scrolling and clicks. Both are configured to not collect the content you type into calculators.
- Advertising measurement — if you arrived from an advert, the advertising platform adds an identifier to the address of the page. We store it so that we can tell which adverts brought readers who found the site useful.
What is not collected
- We never ask for and never store your name, email address, phone number or postal address unless you email us yourself.
- We never ask for and never store financial data: no card numbers, no bank details, no wallet addresses.
- The numbers you type into the calculators stay in your browser. They are never sent to us.
- The answers you give in the questionnaire are processed in your browser to produce the result. We do not store them against your identity.
Cookies and similar technologies
The site itself sets no cookies for its own functionality. Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity set their own cookies for measurement. You can block them in your browser settings, or use a private window, and the site will work exactly the same.
Third parties
- Cloudflare hosts the site and terminates traffic, so it processes request data on our behalf.
- Google (Analytics, Tag Manager, Ads) and Microsoft (Clarity) process measurement data under their own privacy policies.
- If you follow an outbound link to a trading platform, you leave this site and that platform's own privacy policy applies to you from that point on. We do not pass them any personal data about you — we cannot, because we do not have any.
Legal basis and retention
Where the GDPR or a comparable law applies to you, our legal basis is legitimate interest for keeping the site available and secure, and consent for analytics and advertising measurement, which you can withdraw by blocking cookies. Server logs are kept for up to 30 days. Analytics data follows the retention settings of the provider, which we keep at 14 months.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of anything we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days. Because we hold almost nothing, most such requests are answered with "we have nothing tied to you" — which is the point.
Children
This site is for adults. It is not directed at anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect data from minors.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be summarised at the top of this page.
