1. What this site is

Trade Basics publishes general educational information about financial trading. It is not a broker, not an exchange, not a payment service and not a licensed financial adviser. We do not receive, hold or transmit client money or client assets.

2. Not financial advice

Nothing on this site is investment, financial, legal or tax advice, and nothing here is a personal recommendation. We do not know your income, your obligations, your experience or your goals, and none of our content takes them into account. Decisions you make with your own money are yours alone.

3. Risk

Trading carries a high risk of loss. Leveraged products in particular can lose money faster than a beginner expects, and it is possible to lose your entire deposit. The majority of retail accounts lose money. Past performance, including any example in a lesson, never predicts future results. Examples in lessons use invented numbers to illustrate a method, not to suggest an outcome.

4. Age and eligibility

This site is for people aged 18 or over. You are responsible for checking whether trading, and any platform you use, is legal and permitted where you live. Some platforms do not accept clients from certain countries; that is between you and them.

5. Outbound links and commissions

Some links leave this site and go to third-party trading platforms. If you open an account after following such a link, that platform may pay us a commission. This never changes what you pay. We do not control those third parties, we do not endorse them without qualification, and we are not responsible for their services, their terms or their conduct. Read their documents yourself before depositing.

6. Accuracy

We try hard to keep everything correct and current, and we correct mistakes when they are pointed out. Even so, the site is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, and information can go out of date — market rules, platform features and local regulations all change.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Trade Basics and the people behind it are not liable for any trading loss, lost profit, or indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this site or of any third-party service you reach through it.

8. Intellectual property

The text, calculators and design on this site belong to Trade Basics. You may quote short passages with a link back. You may not republish whole lessons or the questionnaire without written permission.

9. Acceptable use

Do not attempt to break, overload, scrape at scale, or reverse-engineer the site, and do not use it for anything unlawful.

10. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the date above will change when we do. Any dispute is governed by the laws applicable at our place of establishment, without affecting mandatory consumer protections available to you where you live.
